Peacefully, passed away surrounded by loving staff at the Bob Rumball Home for the Deaf in Barrie, on Friday, June 24, 2022 at the age of 80. Dear sister of Dorothy Rowan Floyd, and the late William Rowan. Daughter of the late Joan (née Acreman) and Joseph Rowan. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Betty was feisty, mischievous, and loved a good practical joke. Her giggles were infectious and her face lit up when she saw a baby or a child. She loved animals - especially her cats. We are grateful to the staff at Array Services for their years of care and support, and to the staff at Bob Rumball. Betty described it as her new home and was truly happy there.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 30, for a memorial service at 3:00 p.m. at the Comstock-Kaye Life Celebration Centre, 356 Rubidge St. For those unable to attend a livestream of the service will be available on the funeral home website.
If so desired, donations can be made to Array Services (now DeafBlind Ontario Services). Livestream of the service and online guest book are available at www.comstockkaye.com.
