Peacefully, at Princess Gardens, on Monday, March 20, 2023 at the age of 96. Beloved wife of the late John “Jack” Jamieson. Loving mother of Judy Jamieson (Bob Moher), Penny Tucker (Greg), Lori Arthurs (Ken) and the late Jack Jamieson (Laurie). Proud grandmother of Denver (Jessica), Colt (Michelle), Kelly (Alex), Ryan, Megan, Chris and Heather; and great grandmother of Avery, Olive, Paisley, Shay, Quinn and Jack. Predeceased by her parents Frederick and Elsie McElroy; and her siblings Bill McElroy, June Smith, Jim McElroy (Marg), Fred McElroy, and Helen Bonnar. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Bettie was an active woman, volunteering with Meals on Wheels, an important part of the Learning and Leisure Association; and volunteered with the hospital for 18 years. She was a former member of the St. Stephen’s Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed spending time with family, and supporting her grandchildren at their hockey games and dance recitals.
A Private Family Service will be held on March 27, 2023 at the Comstock-Kaye Life Celebration Centre, Peterborough. Interment at Little Lake Cemetery.
