(April 17, 1938 – July 12, 2021) -
Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Julie (nee Dulmage) and loving father to Leslie (Frank), Lauren (Kevin), Andrea (David), and Melissa. He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Mackenzie, Adam and Charles, Nicolas and Rebecca, and Samantha and Katie, and his sister Ann.
A long-time Orthopaedic Surgeon in Peterborough, Ontario, Basil was active in the medical community in many roles, including Chief of Medical Staff at Peterborough Civic and St. Joseph’s Hospitals, and PRHC, and President of the Ontario Medical Association.
Many thanks to the doctors and nurses at PRHC, especially the team on B5, and to the Saint Elizabeth nursing care staff.

There will be a visitation at Comstock-Kaye Life Celebration Centre, 356 Rubidge Street, Peterborough, on Sunday, July 18, 2021 from 1 to 5 pm in half hour segments.
