Alwyn Jane Evans

Evans, Alwyn - It is with great sadness that I announce the peaceful passing of my Mother, Alwyn on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at PRHC Palliative Unit. Survived by daughter Shelley and nieces and nephews in England, Denmark, Australia and the U.S. Predeceased by her husband Mike (2015), parents Elsie and Thomas Sheppard and sister Joan Long. Mum lived a very active life, dedicated to many clubs and groups (PTBO Figure Skating Club, Beta Sigma Phi Sorrority and the Trinity United Church Choir to name a few). Her greatest passion was music and singing in the Church choir for 50 years. I would like to thank all the medical staff that have attended to Mum, especially Dr. Beamish and his wonderful Palliative team. To all the PSW's (especially Crystal) and all the HomeCare nurses from WeCare and St Elizabeth, I couldn't have done it without your help. A special thank you to Jean Smith, Linda Shearer and Mary Snack. A Celebration of Life will take place at Trinity United Church, 360 Reid Street on Monday, June 11, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation at 10:00 a.m. If so desired donations may be made to Trinity United Church Memorial Fund or PRHC Palliative Care Unit.
