William "Bill" C. Lucius

William “Bill” C. Lucius, 77, of Perrysburg Ohio, passed away Sunday, May 5, 2013 at his residence under hospice care after a short illness. He was born on August 23, 1935 in Tiffin, Ohio to William P. Lucius and Hilda Daniel. He married Ruth A. Schwartzmiller on July 10, 1965 in New Riegel Ohio.

Bill was a graduate of Calvert High School in Tiffin, Ohio. He owned Regal’s Shoe Store for 25 years until his retirement in 1996. He was a member of St. Rose Church of Perrysburg. He enjoyed biking, playing with his dog, monitoring his weather station and doing yard work.

Bill is survived by his wife Ruth A. Lucius, children, Laura S. (Mike) Cataldo of Ft. Worth Texas, William C. Lucius Jr. of Tampa Florida, Grandchildren, Debbie and Patti Cataldo and his sister Marilyn Brickner of Tiffin Ohio. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and step mother Kathryn Lucius.

Friends will be received on Thursday, May 9, 2013 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. in the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home 222 E. South Boundary St. Perrysburg Ohio 43551 (419-874-3313) where a scripture service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Visitation will continue on Friday, May 10, 2013 at 10:00 A.M in the St. Rose Catholic Church, 215 E. Front St., Perrysburg, Ohio where a funeral mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. following the visitation. Burial will follow at St. Rose Cemetery.
