Michael George Grosschedl, 63, passed away on Friday December 12, 2014. Michael was born in Toledo, Ohio to his parents, Andrew and Jeanne (Valleé) Grosschedl, on January 5, 1951. He was a graduate of Cardinal Stritch High School and attended the University of Toledo where he was part of the undefeated football team from 1969-1971. Michael worked for thirty years as an Operations Inspector at Crown Cork and Seal, presently known as Crown Holdings, and then worked for the C & W Tank Cleaning Company. Michael was an outdoorsman who enjoyed nature. He loved to go fishing, hunting, boating, camping; anything to be outside. He was also interested in mechanics and had a passion for cars. While raising his family, Michael was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Perrysburg.
Michael is survived by his loving family; mother, Jeanne; son, Pete (Carley) Grosschedl; granddaughter, Morgan Grosschedl; brother, Gean (Linda) Grosschedl; and sister, Marie Jane Grosschedl. He was preceded in death by; grandparents, Peter and Rose (Kempf) Grosschedl; father, Andrew; uncles, Paul and Herman Grosschedl; aunt, Dorthy Grosschedl; and sister, Georgette Fenton.
Friends will be received on Friday, December 19, 2014 from 2:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E.
