Mary L Woods

Mary L. Woods, 56, of Cripple Creek , CO , formerly of Perrysburg , OH , died on Tuesday, June 14th, 2011 in Colorado Springs , CO , surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on October 4, 1954 in Brooklyn , NY , to Edward and Helen Paul. She graduated from Orange Park high school in 1972. She married her husband, Dean Woods, on June 11, 1983. Mary and her husband relocated to Cripple Creek , Colorado after residing in Perrysburg , Ohio for twenty-nine years. Mary was employed at 4th Judicial District Court, Cripple Creek , Colorado and previously had worked for 30 years at Owens Corning.

Mary was a compassionate woman who always put the needs of others before her own. Her outgoing and bubbly personality made her a joy to be around. Her last act of compassion was to give the gift of life by being an organ donor. She enjoyed multiple outdoor activities with her husband, friends and family. She is survived by her husband Dean Woods of Cripple Creek, CO ;sons Josh Woods of Perrysburg, OH and Aaron Burwell of Orlando, FL; sisters, Gayle Miller (Ron Goodman) and Jayne Poplin (John) of Denver, Colorado, brother-in-law Jerry Woods (Wendy), sister-in-law Michele McLuckie (Bill), many nephews and a niece. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Donna Langley.

The family would like Mary’s legacy to include the memories friends and loved ones have of Mary. Memorial attendees are asked to bring a photo, letter, or other personal item to leave behind on a memorial board to honor Mary’s life and legacy.

A visitation will be held on Monday, June 20th from 3:30 -5:30 and 7:00 – 8:30 PM at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary Street, Perrysburg (419-874-3133) Funeral services will be held at Zoar Lutheran Church, Perrysburg, Ohio, Tuesday, June 21st at 10:00 AM.
