Tony McClain

Tony attended Ann Street Elementary, Nightingale Junior High & Belmont High School where he excelled in Gymnastics. Shortly after high school, he was drafted into the United States Army in which he served from 1969-1971 and, was released with an honorable discharge. He then began a career with the United States post office, where he met & Married the love of his life, Trudy Reagan on, November 8, 1980 in Las Vegas, Nevada. One day after his 31st Birthday, it was a cowboy style wedding, in which they both truly enjoyed their union. A beautiful chocolate baby girl was born in whom he proudly named Tanisha. He personally took her around for the world to see & following her birth, they later conceived a beautiful baby boy, named Tamal. The family chose the moniker, the TM family. Tony enjoyed camping & going up to big bear to hang out in the snow during the winter months.

Tony was the second oldest of his siblings. As a young boy, he would shine shoes in downtown Los Angeles to help his Parents buy groceries for the Family. It truly made him the great Husband & Father that he was and knew to be.

For over a decade, when Trudy started having health challenges, he totally did what the word of God says & honored his wife until death did them part. He took EXCELLENT care of Trudy until she went to be with the Lord in January 2015. After a couple years of being alone, he reconnected with his high school sweetheart, Vera Nichols, they became one on June 20, 2017.

His sisters whom preceded him in death are Jeanette McClain-Jenkins, Gwenda-McClain-Hunter, & his (United States Navy) grandson Kevonte Chandler whom he adored.
