Pranom Smith

Pranom Smith (Oiy), age 77, of Perris, California passed away peacefully on Wednesday October 26, 2022. Pranom was born in Manorom, Chainat, Thailand. She was the beloved wife of Philip Smith. A dedicated mother to Sirichai Wanchai (Pornchurn Wanchai), Tony Smith (Amy Lee), Maria Pranom Elizalde (Justin Elizalde), and her dog, Marley. She held close to her heart her pets that passed away; Napoleon and Lucky (dogs) & Princess and Becky (cats).

A loving Grandma to Crystal, Catalina, Camila, Aspen, Cora, Jake, and Damian. A caring Great Grandma to Liliana, Aiden, Meliya and Zara.

Pranom was a devout Buddhist who went to the Temple everyday to donate food. In the past 5 years she had her daily routine that included going to Sizzler almost every day. Before her love of restaurants Pranom was an amazing cook. She was well known for her Egg Rolls and Thai Fried Rice.

Pranom traveled the world during her husband’s Air Force Career. Wherever she went she made friends fast and always found ways to make and save money. Fun fact is that Pranom should have invented Uber/Lyft. When she lived overseas, she obtained a license to drive internationally and would charge her friends to drive them to wherever they needed to go. Her last job was handing out samples at Costco, and she loved meeting new people in this position. In her prime she loved to play cards, and using the cards to read fortunes. She was a woman of many talents.

Her doting husband Philip was her caretaker as she progressed through the stages of Dementia over the last 5 years. The family is at peace with the fact that her mind is now at peace. She will forever be missed but will always be in her family’s heart and with those of everyone she impacted throughout her life.

Funeral will be held on November 10th with information for location and time below. We will be serving food at the Smith Residence following the funeral ceremony at 505 Dusty Lane, Perris, CA 92571

A visitation for Pranom will be held Thursday, November 10, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Miller Jones Mortuary and Crematory, 1835 N. Perris Blvd, Perris, CA 92571, followed by a funeral service from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
