Born May 8, 1944 in Chillicothe, Illinois to Jose and Trinidad (Rodriguez) Medina; he is survived by his wife Carolyn (Medsker), also of Ellenton. They were married on December 27, 1985 in Peoria, Illinois.
Also surviving are his daughters, Lisa Koch of Peoria, Melissa O’Neill of Western Springs, Illinois, and Pam (Jim) Bartholomew of Ellenton; grandchildren, Victoria Koch of Godfrey, Illinois and Domenic O’Neill of Lombard, Illinois; and sister, Teresa “Tess” (Andy) Gusman of Chillicothe.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings Ralph, Mary Ellen, Andrew, Leonard, Daniel, Edward, Robert, and Henry.
Bill retired from Caterpillar, Inc. as a Material Specialist after 30 years of service. After retirement, he served as a TSA agent at the Peoria International Airport.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, golfing, and volunteering as an Auxiliary Officer with the Morton Illinois Police Department. He was also an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.
Bill was considered a good man by all who knew him and is remembered for his sharp wit. He considered everyone he met a friend, and he will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.
Graveside services, directed by Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel, will be held at 11:00am Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria, Illinois.
