Wesley Frederick Remmert

Wesley Frederick Remmert, 82, of Peoria, passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at Carle Health - Methodist Hospital in Peoria. He was born on February 9, 1943 in Watseka, a son of August Henry Frederick Remmert and Etta (Seggerman) Remmert. Wesley married Nancy R. Shamrock on July 31, 1965 in Morton. She survives.

He is also survived by his daughter, Tonya (Denny) Weaver of Lake Cormorant, Mississippi; two grandsons, Drake Weaver of Southaven, Mississippi and Seth Weaver of Lake Cormorant, Mississippi; two brothers, Gerald (Pat) Remmert of Portland, Tennessee and Lee (Ann) Remmert of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

Wesley was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Laverda Buckman and Edith Roach.

He received his Associates Degree in Applied Science from Illinois Central College.

Wesley worked as a laborer for Caterpillar, Inc. for over 35 years, retiring in 1998.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Peoria and was involved in the church choir for many years.

Wesley's graveside service will be at 10:00 am on Friday, April 4, 2025 at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria. Pastor Mark Nelson will officiate.
