Tina Kay Allen

Peoria - Tina K. Allen, 61, of Peoria, passed away on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at UnityPoint Health - Methodist in Peoria. She was born on July 10, 1960 in Peoria, a daughter of Jerald H. and Nancy (Leslie) Young. She married William Allen on June 13, 1981 in Peoria. He survives.

Tina is also survived by her two children, Kim (fiancé, Alison Bowzer) Allen of St. Louis, MO and Daniel Allen of Peoria; her mother, Nancy Speck of Peoria; and sister, Diane (Gary) Beard of Eureka.

She was preceded in death by her father; and step-father, Donald Speck.

Tina graduated from Richwoods High School in 1978 and studied medical transcription at Illinois Central College. She worked briefly at Methodist Medical Center, but was primarily a homemaker and mother.

Tina was sensitive and invested in the spiritual well-being of those around her. She served as a Sunday school teacher and Awana leader at Bethany Baptist Church, and on the prayer and outreach teams at New Life Christian Church. While she had many internal battles, Tina will be remembered for her sense of humor as well as being deeply compassionate and uniquely creative. She loved sewing, quilting, knitting, and building doll house miniatures.

Tina's memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Davison-Fulton-Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home. Rev. Timothy Allen of Evanston Bible Fellowship will officiate. Her memorial visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm also on Thursday at the funeral home.
