He was born on January 16, 1956 in Valparaiso, IN to Eugene and June (Ranson) O’Brien. He married his wife Pam on July 14, 1979 and they eventually divorced, but remained close friends.
Tim is survived by his ex-wife Pam Board and their two sons, Tim O’Brien of Washington and Jon O’Brien of Peoria; his brother Dan; and five grandchildren, Blayne, Ben, Allison, Grayson, and Landen.
Tim graduated from Peoria High School in 1975 and shortly after became a manager at Town & Country Bowling Alley until he was hired at Caterpillar in 1977 and was laid off in 1982. He then started work in the construction business where he remained until he retired.
Tim enjoyed rafting, motorcycle riding, fishing, gardening, and spending time with his kids and friends. He was also an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the White Sox and boxing.
Cremation rites have been accorded and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
