Born on December 1, 1938 to John and Elsie (Harper) Kelly.
He married Sharon (Schmied) Kelly in Peoria. She survives.
Tim is also survived by his daughter, Kimberly Kelly of Vinton, Iowa; son, Christopher Hemp of Havana; granddaughter, Veronica (Joe) Miller of Quasqueton, Iowa; and two great-grandsons, Weston and Owen Miller.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Toni Kelly; and brother, Terrence Kelly.
Tim honorably served his country in the United States Army for three years.
Tim fought and investigated many fires during his time working on the Peoria Fire department and retired in 1998 a Battalion Chief after working 30 years
After retirement he enjoyed spending his winters in McAllen, Texas, traveling with Sharon, and golfing every day as well as spending time with friends and family.
He loved spending time with the light of his life, his granddaughter, Veronica, telling her his stories and imparting his wisdom.
He also loved meeting and spending time with his great-grandkids, Owen and Weston who will always hear stories about Grandpa Grandpa as they grow.
Tim’s funeral service will be at 11:00 am, Thursday, August 4, 2022 at the Davison-Fulton-Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria. His visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am also on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
