He was born in Cleveland, MS, to Thomas and Georgianna (Williams) Worley Sr. He married Philomena Clement on September 19, 1998, in Peoria, IL. She survives.
Also surviving are his five children, Demetrice A. Worley, Timothy D. Worley, Michael D. (Tanya) Worley all of Peoria, Austin Worley of Springfield, IL, and Justin Worley also of Peoria; and a granddog, Kobe Worley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and one brother.
Thomas served in the U.S. Army and Army Reserves for over 25 years, including serving in Operation Desert Storm, and achieving the rank of Sergeant First Class before retiring. He also worked for Caterpillar Inc. for over 44 years first in Engine Assembly and then as a Line Inspector before retiring. Thomas also received an Associate Degree in Elementary Education from Illinois Central College.
Thomas enjoyed fishing, driving his Camaro, and eating catfish at the Smo-king Pit. He was an avid Star Trek fan both of the Original series and the Next Generation, and he was also an avid watch collector.
A funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, with visitation one hour prior to the service at Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield, IL.
