Tom was born on March 7, 1932 in Cleveland, Ohio, a son of Eugene and Lillian (Henning) Farris. He married Carolyn Fry on September 17, 1955 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She preceded him in death in 1999. He married Bette Bogenhagen on September 19, 2011 in Mackinaw Island, Michigan. She survives.
Tom is also survived by his three children, Nancy (Wayne) Davis of Mountain City, Tennessee, Barbara (Mike) Blanco of Peoria, and Scott (Stephanie) Farris of Henry; two step-daughters, Rachael (Scott) Neel of Huntington Beach, California and Deenna (Robert) Pirilli of Brick, New Jersey; six grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; four great-grandsons; one step-great-grandson; and one step-great-granddaughter.
He was also preceded in death by his parents.
Tom served his country in the United States Army.
He worked as a sales representative for Lincoln Electric Company in welding equipment and welding consumables for 39 years, retiring in 1997.
Tom attended Grace Presbyterian Church in Peoria. He loved photography and was a model train enthusiast.
Tom's celebration of life gathering will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at the Davison-Fulton-Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria with a celebration of life service following. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
