Born May 15, 1942 in Elmira, New York to John C. and Margaret L. (Simpson) Eames; she first married Harry J. Holmes and he preceded her in death. She then married Billy Lee Coffman on November 18,1978 in Peoria. He preceded her in death on March 8, 1999 in Peoria. Also preceding in death were her father, sister, brother, two sons and three grandchildren.
Surviving are her mother, Margaret Johnston; her brother, John C. Eames Jr; children, Nadja (Rick) Vollmer, Norman Holmes, Steven Holmes, and Deborah Price; step children, Judith (Robert) Young, Suzanne (Harry) Benson, Janie (Phil) Chamberlain, William “Bud” Coffman, Stephen (Phyllis) Coffman, Janet (Jerry) Lewis, and Barbara Smith; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Sue was a customer service representative with American General Life & Accident until 1980.
She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Peoria.
Sue enjoyed card making, bird watching, shopping at Goodwill, cooking for family meals and baking Christmas goodies. She also enjoyed computer time and made many friends through Facebook.
Memorial visitation will begin at 9:30 Tuesday January 5, 2016 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel with a memorial service following at 10:30 am. The Rev. Mark McCall will officiate. Burial will be at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
The family requests memorials be made to PKS (Pallister-Killion Syndrome) in memory of Sue Ann Coffman and in honor of her great granddaughter Shelby Reese Baker.
