He was born on January 21, 1958 in Peoria to Carl T and Patricia M. (Caldwell) Ruck.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Ronnie Johnson, Gary Buchanan, and John Ruck; and one sister, Frances Tiff.
Surviving are his two siblings, Donna (Don) Ernst of Brimfield and Carl (Brenda) Ruck of Dunlap; sisters-in-law, Cecilia Ruck of Williamsfield and Loretta Johnson of Mossville; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In his youth Steven worked as a farm hand and then later stayed home to care for his parents.
Cremation will be accorded and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
