Stephen Cohen

Home in Peoria.

He was born July 8, 1932 in St. Paul, MN to M.P. and Eve (Wellman) Cohen. He married Lila Rubenstein Oct. 8, 1961 in

Chicago. She passed away Jan. 25, 2009 in Peoria. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Avie Cohen.He is

survived by his loving children: Amy (Michael) Allen of San Francisco, CA, Becky (James) Ray of Peoria, and Jeff Cohen

of Peoria. He is also survived by his six loving grandchildren: Bobby Allen, David Allen, Megan Ray, Erin Ray, Ryan

Cohen, and Jack Cohen.

He founded the Unclaimed Freight Stores, aka UFS with his mother in 1945. He was a fixture there for many years until

he sold the business. He was a lifelong member of Agudas Achim Synagogue and the Peoria YMCA. He was a

graduate of Bradley University.Graveside services will be Tuesday Nov. 11, 2014 at 1 p.m. at the Peoria Hebrew

Cemetery in Peoria. Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
