She was born in Galesburg Illinois on October 17,1925 to Elmer and Blanche Gustafson. She married Robert Hornecker on Aug. 21,1951 in Sequin, TX. She is survived by one great-niece Pam (Craig) Weiss of McFarland Wisconsin, one great-nephew Doug(Victoria) Clemann of Eau Claire, WI, and several great-great nieces, nephews and great-great great nieces and nephews.
Shirley did office work for several different businesses and was very pleased to work a long time in the office for Salem Lutheran Church. She made many close friends with the people she worked with. She also had a love for sewing. Shirley and her husband Bob were avid travelers and especially loved going on cruises.
Funeral services will be on Thursday July 29, 2021 at 1 p.m. at Salem Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Davison-Fulton-Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria is in charge of arrangements.
