Born April 16, 1937 in Sims, IL to Frank D and Della Mae (Sons) Richison; she married Glen N. Feather on August 15, 1955 in Fairfield, IL and he survives.
Also surviving are her children, Dr. Sue Feather of East Peoria, Dr. Glen (Adair) Feather of Dunlap, Vernon (Aimee) Feather of Collegeville, Penn. and Robyn (Steve) Arrambide of St. Charles, IL; 7 grandchildren, Erica, Steven, Aden, Kaitlyn, Matthew, Audrey and Ava; her brother, Charles (Ruth) Richison of Hoffman, IL and her sister-in-law, Elsie Windland of Fairfield.
Preceding in death were her brother, Robert Richison and 2 step brothers, Raymond Windland and Clarence Windland.
Shirley worked and volunteered for many years to the Mental Health Association of Illinois Valley as both an administrative assistant and member of the Board of Directors and also volunteered for the Suicide Hotline.
She was an international traveler and shopper, having lived in Japan and Belgium for 4 years each.
Shirley’s favorite hobby was painting and she was very supportive of the Illinois Art League.
Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 pm Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at the Davison-Fulton Woolsey Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria. Additional visitation will be from 9:30-11:00 am Friday, October 30th at Richardson Funeral Home in Wayne City, IL with her funeral at 11:00 AM. Services will conclude with burial at the Hopewell Cemetery near Wayne City.
The family suggests memorials to Whitney’s Walk for Life.
