Shirley J. Baldwin

Shirley J. Baldwin, 92, of Bartonville, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2023 at Carle Health - Methodist Hospital in Peoria. She was born on August 9, 1931, a daughter of John W. Edenburn and Mabel L. (Eads) Edenburn. She married John Duez on March 5, 1950. He preceded her in death on October 13, 1964. Shirley later married Charles Baldwin on July 1, 1972 in Peoria. He preceded her in death on July 9, 1999 in Peoria.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Diane Bratton; two sisters; and two brothers.

Shirley is survived by her two sons, Michael (Debra) Baldwin of Hanna City and Joseph (Linda) Duez of Pekin; one daughter, Rebecca (Dennis) Nebel of Forest City; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.

She last worked as a clerk for Wal-Mart in Peoria for 35 years, retiring in 2013. She previously had worked as a clerk for K Mart in Peoria.

Shirley was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Clover Leaf Chapter #1002 in East Peoria.

Shirley's graveside service will be at 10:00 am Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
