She was born Aug. 18, 1932 in Canton, IL to Richard and Viola Winchell. She married Robert Baker on April 11, 1953 in Peoria. He passed away Jan. 7, 1992 in Peoria. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and four sisters.
Survivors include five children: Bob (Debbie) Baker of Gulf Shores, AL, Debbie Doering of East Peoria, Jim (Renetta) Baker of Metamora, Tom “Pete” (Jayne) Baker of Peoria, Chris Baker of Oklahoma City, OK, 11 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
Maxine was a self-employed Hair Stylist for over 40 years in the Peoria area. She was a member of the Peoria Heights Congregational Church, and the Ladies of the Moose in Peoria.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2023 at 11 a.m. at the Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services.
Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
