Ruth B. Patton Shamrock

Peoria – Ruth B. Shamrock, 95, of Peoria, IL passed away Sunday January 1, 2012 at Heartland Manor Care in Peoria. Ruth was born May 21, 1916 in Edwards, IL to William and Takey (Brauer) Patton. She married George P. Shamrock, Sr. on April 4, 1940 in Fairchance, PA.

Surviving is her daughter Nancy (Wesley) Remmert of Peoria, IL, son George P. Shamrock, Jr. of Peoria, IL, three granddaughters; Tonya (Denny) Weaver of Southaven, MS, Melissa (Nate) Heinz of Peoria, IL, and Jennifer (John) Schultz of Peoria, IL, a grandson Joshua Shamrock of Peoria, IL, one great granddaughter, and six great grandsons. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers, and seven sisters.

Ruth was devoted to her family and loved to spend time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, family, and friends.

Services will be held at 11 am Thursday January 5, 2012 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens.
