She was born June 9, 1923 in Peoria to Frank and Gerda (Warner) Sanden. She married Major Landes on June 28, 1942 in Peoria. He preceded her in death on January 5, 2018. Her parents and two sisters, Helen Lipp and Margaret Potts also preceded her in death.
Surviving are her daughter, Charmaine (Raymond) Curry of Brimfield; grandson, Michael (Robin) Heffron of El Paso; two great-grandchildren Olivia and Shelby Heffron; and several nieces and nephews.
Ruth was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Peoria and the Caterpillar Retirees Club. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and sister.
A funeral service will be at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 with visitation one hour prior to the service at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. A private burial will be at Parkview Cemetery in Peoria.
