Ruth Marie Chatham

She was born May, 2, 1928 in Orleans, Indiana. The daughter of Delbert and Meida Hayes. She married Nelson Chatham on August 20, 1950.

Ruth is survived by her husband of 67 years; one son, Gary Chatham of Peoria; one nephew, Richard Hayes of Salem, Indiana and one niece, Nancy Slone of Orleans, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and one sister.

Ruth was a Home Economics teacher at Chillicothe High School until her son was born.

She was a member of First Federated Church of Peoria.

Ruth was a graduate of Indiana University she she was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma. She was also a member of Peoria Garden Club.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 pm Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Davison-Fulton Woolsey Wilton Funeral Chapel. Reverend Dr. Forrest Krummel will officiate. Visitation will be from 1:00 - 2:30 pm. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens.
