Robert Lee Cornelius Jr

Born October 21, 1956 in Peoria, IL to Robert Lee, Sr and Audrey J (Davis) Cornelius; he married Lisa Bushert on October 8, 1983 in Peoria. She survives.

Also surviving are his mother; children Brett, Maggie and Morgan; grandson, Jaxson; sisters Cindy Renzelman and Cheri (Jim) Huff.

Bob began working at his family car dealership, Cornelius AMC-Rambler in Peoria at a young age which eventually lead to a career in auto sales as he proudly represented Fort’s Toyota of Pekin for many years, building thousands of friendships along the way. His customers were friends and he considered his co-workers as family.

He will be remembered for his kindness to all and devotion as a husband, dad and grandpa. He was especially proud of his grandson Jaxson.

Bob loved golfing and was an ardent Fighting Illini fan.

He was a member of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Peoria.

We will celebrate Bob’s life at 10:00 am Monday, January 4, 2016 at Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria. The Rev. Barry Long will officiate. Burial will follow at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.

Visitation will be from 1:30 to 4:00 pm Sunday, January 3, 2016 at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to his church or the Illinois Cancer Center.
