Robert Joseph Kallister

Peoria – Robert “Bob” Kallister, 73, of Peoria, IL passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at O.S.F. Saint Francis Medical Center.  Bob was born July 12, 1940 in Peoria to Robert and Helen (Bruce) Kallister.  He married Cynthia LaHood on November 27, 1981. Bob owned and operated Kallister Painting and Decorating for forty years.  His hobbies included watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball, taking walks in the woods, taking care and feed the birds that visited his feeders, and helping friends and neighbors. Surviving is his wife Cindy of Peoria, IL, children; Susan Kallister of Farmington, IL, Terri (Tim) Donahue of Marquette Heights, IL, Randy (Virginia) Kallister of Peoria, IL, Lorrie (John Henry) Richards of Peoria, IL, step-children; Michelle (Mike) Gulatto of Bartonville, IL, Maureen (Pat) Marion of Peoria, IL, and Michael (Michelle) Marion of Trivoli, IL, thirteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and two brothers; David (Martha) Kallister of Glasford, IL, and Thomas Kallister of Peoria, IL.  Bob was preceded in death by his parents and brother William Kallister. Services will be held at 1 pm Sunday, March 16, 2014 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel.  Visitation will be from 11 – 1 pm Sunday at the funeral home.  Private graveside service will be held on Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in West Peoria.  Memorials may be made to St. Jude Midwest Affiliate.  Online tributes and condolences may be made at www.Davison-Fulton.com
