Robert Walter Hess

He was born on July 7, 1921 in Bloomington, IL, the son of Walter and Elizabeth Johnson Hess. He married May F. Ross. She preceded him in death on January 30, 2013.

Robert is survived by one niece, Gail Hahn of Peoria; two nephews, Randy (Sherry) Hess of Morton, and Robert Hess of Pekin; six great-nieces and nephews; and eight great-great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Henry G Hess.

Robert was a member of American Legion Post # 1234 in Creve Coeur. He was a machinist at Typewriter Services, and Veaches. He also delivered groceries on his bicycle.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Pastor Jack Thompson will officiate.

Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery.
