My deepest condolences to Kay, Julie,Scott and to his extended family. I took care of Rich the last 2 months of his life. So many things I will miss about Rich. His dry sense of humor and kind heart. His love of reading and his fascination with numbers.  He never forgot his beloved wife Kay. When she wasn't there he was always calling out her name. 67 plus years of marriage and 2 wonderful children and grandchildren. I will miss Rich and seeing his smiling face every morning. To all who loved Rich I am truly sorry  for your tremendous loss.

Mr rich used to take us 8 children to church every Sunday.,him and miss Kay took is to swim and sometimes  to there house.He had a big heart and if it wasn't for them I wouldn't have invited  my Lord and Savior into my life. I will miss you so much, Rest in Peach

Dear Kay and Family,        We were so sorry to hear of your loss of Rich.   He was such a great guy.  When you two were married, all of us Lamport cousins were jealous because he was so handsome and witty!    He never met a stranger, and at every reunion he always had lots of stories to tell. So strange, over the last two weeks, I have spoken to three different people about Rich.  I'm sorry to hear of his homegoing, but assured he is now free from the world of confusion and other sickness.  He left it all here.  A brand new body.  His legacy has left a mark on his children and grandchildren.  You have so many memories I know to share and even laugh a little.  Kay and Rich I am praying for you that the Peace that ouly our Prescious Saviour can give will fill your hearts.  Rich was a great guy, I loved talking and laughing with him. Dear Kay and family,  Dick hired me at Cat Engineering in 1978.  And later, I gave my dog Abby to Julie.  My sympathy to all the family.  He was a very dear friend.

I don't think I have a time in my memory when I did not know Rich. Memories made with your family are in all my memories as a child/teenager: all those vacations, holidays and weekends spent together as families, Rich & Kay as our youth leaders in youth group at church, all those Bellwood Sunday youth group ministry days which Rich started, on and on they go. As an adult, he was a support to Bruce and I as he was pivotal as a school board member, in Bruce getting a teaching job in District 150. His wit was like no other. :)  He was a blessing and encouragement to so many and I have no doubt heard, "Well done good and faithful servant." Praying God's comfort and peace for all of you as you walk this path of loss.

Dear Kay and Family, Janine and I are very sad to hear of Rich's passing but also happy to know that he's with our Lord and Savior and is fully healed now. You couldn't meet him without immediately realizing that he was special by his smile and laugh. His wit, knowledge and wisdom were even more apparent the longer we knew him. Janine and I were fortunate to call him Friend.  Love was a verb to Rich and when he knew of a need in your life he was always the first one to show up. Thank you for sharing him with so many of us over the years. Our lives will be a sadder place without his puns and favorite stories. The ministries that he started and kept going are numerous: he and Kay were our youth leaders, Belwood Nursing Home service facilitators, he lead the restoration of the swimming pool used for ministry, restored the 1909 pipe organ at Main and High, helped us restore our home, loaned me a car when mine was in the shop, started and maintained the basketball/snack ministry, helped widows by fixing their cars, started short-term missions trips, and more. His faithfulness to his family was also an example to all who knew him. "Well done, good and faithful servant!" Matt 25:21. Please know that we're praying for comfort for all of you. Rich and Kay were youth leaders when I was young. What godly leaders they were.  I never appreciated their leadership until I looked back on my life in my later years. So sorry to hear of Rich’s passing my condolences to the family. My friendship with Rich was a blessing to me. He showed me how to love those around you with unconditional love and kindness. I don’t think he could have had an enemy anywhere because of his love for the Lord and caring for others. Rest in peace my friend well done my good and faithful servant.🙏🙁

I have some memories as I would run into your Parents from time to time..I remember one visit was at Sam's n your dad talked with me for about an hr..Shhh don't tell my boss lol..He talked about Working with my dad as well.
