Ramona Rose Dillon Fox

Ramona was born on January 8, 1936 in Swea City, Iowa to Alvin and Vivian (Point) Dillon. She married George William Fox on August 16, 1952 in Oceanside, California, before he shipped out to Korea. He preceded her in death on December 11, 2002. Also preceding her in death are her parents; four sisters, Pat, Ilo, Dorothy and Catherine; and two brothers, Kenny and Ivan.

Surviving are her children, Georgia A. Fox Gingrich of Peoria, IL, Dirk L Fox of Morton, IL, Juanita L. (Randall) Gerst of Sperry, IA, Roberta R. Hornbeck of St. Petersburg, FL and Cal W. Fox of Peoria, IL; 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Ramona and George moved to Peoria in 1962 when George was transferred for his work from Algona, Iowa. Ramona was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of the VFW Post 814 Women’s Auxiliary and enjoyed playing bingo and crocheting.

Services will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 1pm at Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria with visitation beginning at 11am. Burial will be at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the VFW Post 814 or the Honor Flight.
