Pearlie McElroy

She was born October 1, 1930 in Madison County, Mississippi the daughter of Mattie & Ben Simmons Brown. She married L. V. McElroy in 1953.

Pearlie is survived by her children, Josephine McElroy of Jackson, MS, Charlene (Walter) Wilson of Detroit, MI, and Loris (Catherine) McElroy of Peoria; 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Murleen (Charles) Thomas of Jackson, MS.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, four sisters and one daughter, Rosie Lee Williams.

Pearlie was a member of New Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church. She loved to play Bingo.

Funeral services will be at 11 am Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at New Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church. Pastor Patrick Pollard Sr. will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.

Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery.
