Patricia "Patty" Ann Parrett

She was born to Joseph and Shirley (Steubinger) Weisbruch on July 10, 1950. She graduated from Bergan High School in 1968 and Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in 1971. She married Michael Parrett on December 18, 1970. She worked as a Registered Nurse until 1985 when she and her husband moved back to Peoria. She then went to work at Country Bride, her mom’s bridal shop, working alongside her mom and sister Susan for 34 years.

Patty was an excellent seamstress and loved making crafts. She was known as “the gnome lady”. Patty was a generous person, helping those in need and volunteered in Haiti on medical missions trips for several years with Dr. Carroll’s group, Friends of the Children of Haiti. Patty loved her cats, having many over the years.

Patty was preceded in death by her parents, brother David, sister-in-law Kathleen, and brother-in-law Maurice.

She is survived by her husband Michael, sister Susan (Dean) Wright, brothers Vance (Judy) Weisbruch and Joseph Wiesbruch, step-sister Lisa (Ken) Cook, brother-in-law Bob (Ann) Parrett, and good friends Carole and Judy. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews Terra, Paul, Christina, Savannah, Lori, Tim, Juan, Danielle, Cory, Jordan, Ryan, and Ali.
