Patricia "Pat" Louise Brisbin

Patricia Louise "Pat" Brisbin, 82, of Peoria, passed away on Friday, May 12, 2023 at the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. She was born on June 26, 1940, a daughter of Clarence Thomas and Maude Magdalene (Davis) Thomas. Pat married Jack S. Brisbin on October 18, 1959 in Peoria. He survives.

She is also survived by her four children, Steve (Cheri) Brisbin of Lincoln, Laura (Greg) Hnilicka of Peoria, Rick (Leigh Ann) Brisbin of Morton, and Brett (Tamra) Brisbin of Chillicothe; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Pamela Jean Thomas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Carole Jean Thomas and Judith Ann Jackson.

Pat was the heart of her family whom she affectionately referred to as her “greatest treasures”. She ran a very busy household and also helped run the family business but never seemed to run out of love, time or energy for anyone in need. Her passion was nurturing and loving people. She put her whole heart into loving and serving the Lord by selflessly loving and serving first her family and then everyone else around her. There were always extra people at the family table and all were welcomed as her own. She had a quiet, gentle faith and beauty that seemed to point others towards the Lord.

Pat worked as the office manager for the Tradin’ Post in Peoria for over 30 years, retiring in 2010. She had many roles there such as “mom”, encourager, listening ear, shoulder to cry or lean on and trusted friend.

Pat was an active member of Faith Church in Washington touching many with her kindness, her smile and her warm, caring ways.

Pat's funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Friday, May 19, 2023 at the Davison-Fulton-Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria. Rev. Terry Goode will officiate. Her visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, May 18, 2023 also at the funeral home. An additional visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
