He was born on October 1st, 1939 in Pekin, IL. He was married to Sheila Campbell on November 20th 1980 in Las Vegas. She survives along with a daughter, Michelle (Michael) Burke of Peoria, IL, a son Michael (Michele) Marshall of St Louis, MO, granddaughter, Bethany (Josh) Smith of Peoria, IL, granddaughter, Jill Camper of Atlanta, GA, granddaughter, Emilee Marshall, and two great grandchildren, Madelyn and Benjamin Smith.
He was preceded in death by his father H. Kenneth Marshall, his mother C. Regina Marshall, and grandson Michael Marshall.
Stan’s great loves were his wife, Sheila, his family, close friends, and the Lord Jesus Christ. Stan was an avid sailor and enjoyed many happy years on his sailboat.
Stan was a veteran of the Air National Guard.
Stan had a great love for music and was a musician in many bands for 40 years as a bass guitarist. He went to broadcasting school in Chicago in 1960 and was on WMBD TV and radio. He was the Director of Sales at the Continental Regency Hotel in Peoria, IL for many years and after retirement he sold real estate part time.
Funeral services will be held at 3 PM on Saturday, May 23rd, 2015 at Davison-Fulton Woolsey- Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria. Visitation will be two hours prior to the services on Saturday at the funeral home. A private internment will immediately follow at American Mausoleum for the family.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
