She was born January 20, 1947 in Ruleville, MS the daughter of Adline Childs. She married Chester King in Peoria on June 14, 1975.
Mary is survived by her husband of forty-four years; four daughters, Jackie (Harold Cobb) Childs of Peoria, Melissa (Lenon Gardner) Childs of Peoria, Sadie (Daniel) Frazier of Calumet City, and Vanessa King of Indiana; and one son, Larry (Mika Collins) King of Peoria.
She is preceded in death by her parents; one son, Charlie Childs; one grandchild, Lorne Duncan; and two brothers, Jesse and James Myles.
Mary was a Janitor at Caterpillar Inc. until her retirement.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at 11 a.m.
Visitation will be held an hour prior to services.
Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery in Peoria.
