She was the daughter of John and Leanne (Parsons) Schumaker. Sue met her husband Jack at Christian Assembly Church at his brothers wedding and they were later married on September 6, 1986.
She was born in Washington, DC and lived a lot of different places in the U.S. as her father was a military lieutenant in the Army. She was an only child and her and her parents settled in Bloomington, IL where she lived when she met her husband.
She was employed by Country Insurance in Bloomington for 24 years and made the daily commute from Peoria to Bloomington daily after she married Jack.
Sue was a devout Christian and attended First Presbyterian Church for many years. Sue loved her little dog “Sophie” so very much. “Sophie” is truly going to miss her.
Sue is survived by her loving husband Jack of 38 years. Also surviving is her sister-in-law Brenda Robertson and husband Richard. She also had two nieces, Tiffany (Robertson) Kuhl and family, Angie Griffith and family; 4 nephews, Chad Ballard and family, Jason Robertson and family, Nathan Griffith and his brother Tony and family. Including multiple great nieces and nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, mother-in-law (Glenna) and father-in-law Glenn Griffith, one infant niece Amber Ballard, one brother-in-law Calvin Griffith, (his wife) a sister-in-law Tina. She will be missed and cherished by all her loved ones.
Funeral services will be at 11 am on Monday, April 7, 2025 with visitation one hour prior to the service at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Interment will be at a later date.
