Mary E. Boland

She was born on July 30, 1925 in Peoria, IL to Saul and Helen (Sharp) Winkler. She married John J. Boland on February 16, 1945 in Peoria. He preceded her in death on August 11, 2008 in East Peoria. Her parents also preceded her in death.

Surviving are two daughters, Sharon (Walt) Hatcher and Pat (Joe) McDaniel both of Peoria. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Tim Hatcher, Michelle Goodhart, Jolyn (Rex) McMorris and Jackye (Curt) Miller, five great-grandchildren, Zach, Hunter, Kirstyn, Jaxson and Gabby, one brother, Melvin (Gloria) Winkler of Washburn and one sister, Ruth Remley of Metamora.

Mary worked as a secretary for Cole Hartford for over twenty years, before retiring in 1996. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all those with Harbor Light Hospice and the Grand Victorian who helped care for Mary.

A service will be held on Monday, May 9, 2011 at 12:00 pm at Resurrection Mausoleum with visitation one hour prior to service at the Mausoleum. The Rev. Dr. Richard Shaw will officiate. Entombment will follow at the service.
