Marshall David Bernard

He was born on May 12, 1977 to David Bernard and Cynthia Williams. He married Mindy Wilson on November 9, 2011.

She survives. Marshall is also survived by his mother, Cynthia Williams of Peoria; Dad, Richard Duckworth of Chillicothe; children, Andy Bernard, Cody Bernard, Jamaca Fenderson, Deshawnna Strong, Justin Neil, Ayden Dowlen, Kali Bernard, Stephen Brewster, and Alecsis Doering; grandchildren, Kayden Wilson, Jakobi Norris, Jamarianna Jones, Zymere Cox, and Haislee Neil; two brothers, Michael (Dawn) Duckworth of Indiana and Curtis (Carrie) Halverson of Peoria; sister, Samantha Miller of Peoria; and several nieces and nephews.

Marshall was preceded in death by his biological father, David Bernard; stepmother, Wanda Duckworth; and ex-wife Doris Pyles.

Marshall was a loving, devoted and caring father to his children and grandchildren and spent his whole life providing for his kids. His favorite things to do was fishing at his favorite spot at Canton Lake and bowling with his family. He also enjoyed cooking huge meals for his family, one of his best meals that he made was biscuits and gravy. Marshall was the proud owner of several small businesses with B&W Mechanical being the most recent. Marshall loved superheroes’ and will always be known as one to his family.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Pastor Craig Hislope will officiate.
