Dr. Mark Alfred Bullock

He was born on June 10, 1945, in Cushing, IA to Dr. Grant D. and Frances I. (Lage) Bullock. He married Beverly D. Huff on August 7, 1982. She survives.

Also surviving are his three loving children, Jeffrey S. Bullock of San Mateo, CA, Christina R. (Erick) Emert and Stephen M. Bullock both of Peoria; their Mother, Mary E. Bullock of Peoria, two grandchildren, Brandon M. and Arwen Skye Bullock; and one sister, Marcia A. (Ron) Holland of Elkhart, IN. Dr. Bullock is also survived by a niece, Natalie (Holland) Hebel, and nephews, Scott Holland, Grant Bullock, Eric Bullock and Nicholas Bullock.

His daughter, Christina Emert, is married to Erick Emert of Peoria, Illinois. His son, Steve Bullock, is engaged to Corena L. Rushing of Peoria, IL. Corena has one daughter, Elizabeth D. Klein.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Daniel G. Bullock, M.D. and sister-in-law, Judith (Sprol) Bullock.

Mark attended Morningside College, then the University of South Dakota, and then graduated from the University of Illinois College of Medicine. He then served in the U.S. Navy as a Lieutenant in the Medical Corps before his honorable discharge in 1973. He served the Peoria community as a Family Physician in private practice for many years before working with OSF Healthcare until his retirement. Mark was a past-President of the Peoria Medical Society and an active member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Peoria. He enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family and friends.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. to noon at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. A graveside service and inurnment will follow the visitation at Parkview Cemetery.
