Marilyn Irene (Callahan) Paul

She was born on May 10, 1931, in Mercer County, IL, to Minnie Alta (Gaylor) and Roy Lee Callahan. She was married to Colin Paul for over 60 years, and he preceded her in death on February 2, 2014, in Peoria.

In addition to her parents, and husband, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Brandy Paul; infant sister, Theresa; and brothers, Lester, Leo, Richard, Laverne, and Kenneth.

Surviving are her children, Karen Paul, and Mike (Linda) Paul; grandchildren, Kara (James) Boyles, Stacy Paul, Tyler (Monica) Paul; great-grandchildren, Emory, Camdyn, Kira, Emma, and Rachel.

She was a devoted grandmother who was always so proud of her grandchildren’s accomplishments and was happy to share it with anyone.

Marilyn was employed in nursing by OSF St. Francis Hospital for over two decades and took great pride in caring for her patients. She enjoyed traveling throughout Europe, and other continents during retirement. She, and Colin enjoyed frequent walks, and spending time in their garden. She loved her family, and will be greatly missed, and forever in our hearts.

Cremation has been accorded. A memorial visitation will be held at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel on Friday, April 21, 2023, from 6-8 PM. Private burial will be held at Swan Lake Memory Gardens.
