She was born November 27, 1943 in Los Angeles, CA to Marion Lee and Ruth (Lasko) Edgecomb. Her family returned to the Peoria area, where she was raised and spent most of her life. She married Virgil Hauk on Febraury 29, 1964 in Peoria. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Betty Elliott.
Surviving are her husband, Virgil of Peoria, three sons, Douglas (Karen) Hauk of Peoria, Steven (Cindy) Hauk of Normal and Brian Hauk of Peoria, five grandchildren, Joe, Kayla, Shawna, Connor and Kenadee, two great-grandchildren, Killian and Zane and one sister, Diana (Brad) Hlavenka of Brimfield.
Marilyn was a longtime member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church and she enjoyed spending time with her family, crocheting, knitting, quilting, sewing and roller skating when she was younger.
A visitation will be Friday, August 17, 2012 from 6 to 8 pm at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. A funeral will be Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Pastor Andy Decker will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
