Marilyn June Brown

Marilyn was born on May 16, 1926 in Peoria to Theodore and Mildred (Howard) Schmidt. She married Andrae E. Brown on January 14, 1951 in Peoria. He preceded her in death on June 18, 2007.

Marilyn is survived by her daughters, Vikki (Curt) Wells of East Peoria, IL and Debbie (David) Johnson of Cloquet, MN; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a very special cousin, Lucille Lawless of Bartonville, IL. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents and her brother.

Marilyn worked in personnel for the Agricultural Lab as well as the Air National Guard and the Veterans’ Affairs. She was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, the Red Hat Society and the Emblem Club. She enjoyed painting, doing logic puzzles and she did a lot of local volunteer work.

Services will be held on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at 11am at Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria with Rev. Joe Harwood officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 18, 2013 from 5pm to 7pm at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services and inurnment will be at Parkview Mausoleum in Peoria. Memorials may be made to Methodist Hospice or the Center for Prevention of Abuse.
