She was born on November 4, 1943 in Peoria, to Lenard W. and Pearl Eleanor (Lauterbach) Lumberry. She married Thomas O'Brien and then later married Eugene Topper on October 23, 1976 in Peoria. He preceded her in death on June 8, 2011 in West Peoria. Also preceding her in death were her parents and a brother, Roger Lumberry.
Surviving is her sister-in-law, Roberta Lumberry of Peoria and two nieces, Jonell Madden of Des Plaines and Katie (Kim) Shadley of Peoria.
Marianne worked in the Government Area for Hiram-Walker Distillery for many years. She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Bartonville, the Bethel Lutheran Quilting Group, and PBS Channel 47 in Peoria, where she volunteered with their annual fundraising drive. Marianne also enjoyed Crafting, making Christmas Ornaments and spending time with family.
A funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Friday, July 7, 2023 with visitation one hour prior to the service at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. A private burial will follow at Parkview Cemetery in Peoria.
