She was born on August 4, 1932 in Gunnison, Mississippi to the late Prentiss and Estella (Sledge) Thomas. She married Johnnie Lee Harris on February 28, 1951 in Peoria, IL and he preceded her in death on November 18, 2011.
Maggie was a homemaker and loved spending time at home raising her children. She loved cutting out coupons to save money, and loved to cook for her family, especially for special occasions. She devoted her life to the Lord and was a member of Jesus Name Free Church for 60 years.
Maggie is survived by 11 children, Regina (Fred) Wright, Angela Stewart, Victoria Stewart, Gail (Robert) Johnson, Michael (Terry) Harris, Elder Tommy L (Tammy) Harris, Teresa Harris, Eileen (Mark) Gibson, Leanna Harris, Paulette (Robert) Blakes, Kenneth (Felicia) Harris, and a stepson, Johnnie Harris Jr., 20 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, Geraldine Thomas and Edna Thomas, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Russell Harris, grandson and Army veteran, Ronald D. Harris, stepdaughter, Ramona Harris, son in law, Christopher Stewart Sr., one great -granddaughter Angel, twin grandbabies, and siblings LB Thomas, Estella Ellis, TD Thomas, James Thomas, Arvella Hall, Fred Thomas, Dora Williams, Marie Walker, Mamie Thomas, and Prentiss Thomas Jr.

A funeral service will be held Monday, January 24, 2022 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be held one hour before the funeral service, and from 5:00-7:00 PM Sunday, January 23, 2022 at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Swan Lake Memory Gardens.
