Mae L. Smith

Mae L. “Bonnie” Smith, age 85, of Peoria, passed away Tuesday March 22, 2016 at 4:02 a.m. at Unity Point Health Methodist in Peoria. She was born Dec. 6, 1930 in Pottstown to Henry and Beatrice (Turner) Johnson. They preceded her in death along with one daughter, Melanie Gannion, one great-granddaughter, September Good, two brothers and one sister. Survivors include three sons; Charles (Debbie) Hodgkins of Bartonville, Kevin “Mike” (Debbie) Hodgkins of Peoria, Bill (Caris) Hodgkins of Pekin, one step-son, Guy Smith of Bartonville, one step-daughter, Karleen (Jim) Heinz of Bartonville, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Bonnie was a Waitress in the Peoria area for many years. She was an avid bowler, loved to fish and play Bingo. Visitation will be Thursday March 24, 2016 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Funeral services will be Friday March 25, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
