She was born January 18, 1959 in Urbana, IL to Wallace and Phyllis (Wright) Martin. She married Thomas Blank on August 20, 1976 in Peoria. He survives.
Also surviving are their three children, Melissa (Brent) Patterson of Trivoli, David Blank of East Peoria, and Laura (Matt) Stoner of Peoria; five grandchildren, Jordan, Haley, and Lilly Patterson, and Trenton and Tallulah Stoner; four siblings, Lorrie (Stanley) Hafner of Milan, IL, Mike (Kelly) Martin of New Braunfels, TX, Mitch (Erin) Martin of Dennison, TX, and Matt (Jill) Martin of Glen Carbon, IL; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Lisa was a two time survivor of cancer. With her strong faith, she also fought bravely against other ailments and still managed to warm others with her smile. Her family is grateful to the amazing medical team at Illinois Cancer care for prolonging her life for many years. She was a true inspiration to many and is proof even the toughest battles can be won. Lisa worked as a CNA and for Rogy's Daycare for many years. She was passionate about child care and treated them all like one of her own.
Lisa was a member and avid church goer of the former Second Chance Church in Peoria. Lisa was also a founder and attendee of the church's A.A. group. Lisa was proud of her 10 years of sobriety and mentored many other in their journey. She enjoyed the simple things in life and found joy and humor in the things around her. Her creativity and crafting ability where on display, with every card she created for her family and friends. Lisa will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, who cared deeply for those in her life.
Lisa was truly a beautiful soul and met a new friend everywhere she went.
Cremation will be accorded and a Celebration of Life will be held from 1- 4 pm on Sunday, September 11, 2022 at Barrack's Cater Inn in Peoria. Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
