She was born May 18, 1958 in Peoria to Donald Wayne and Patsy Rae (Lowery) Koestner. She married Richard L. Wilson on August 16, 1980 in Peoria. They divorced in 1982.
Linda is survived by her longtime friend and companion, Donald Washburn; her mother, Patsy Rae Koestner of Peoria, one sister, Kathleen Anne Koestner of Peoria; three brothers, Robert Wayne Koestner, David William Koestner, and Steven Paul Koestner, all of Bloomington; three nephews, William John Koestner of Bloomington, Nathan Aaron (Cat) Swartz of Missouri, Adam Richard Swartz of North Carolina; and two aunts, Mary Jean Staley of Brimfield and Ruth Ann (Fred) Filip of Peoria.
She was preceded in death by her father and grandparents.
Linda earned her bachelor’s degree in economics from Illinois State University and her paralegal certificate at ICC. She worked in social services and most recently was a claim adjustor for Traveler’s Insurance in Indianapolis, IN.
She was also a member of Peoria Area Stitcher’s Guild and Central Illinois Paralegal Association.
A memorial visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, August 29, 2011 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. Cremation will be accorded. Burial of her ashes will be in Springdale Cemetery at a later date.
