He was born on December 20, 1974 in Peoria to Larry Tinsley and Sharon (Haywood) Tinsley.
Also surviving is his Mother, Sharon (Duane) Smith; his Fiance, Roxyanne Henderson; his first Wife, Latisha Tinsley; his twelve Children, Robert Hunter Jr., Adelita Tinsley, Sanyna Henderson, Leonard Tinsley Jr., Leondray Tinsley, Alan Wesley Jr., Leon Tinsley, Ta'leah Tinsley, Tae'Jon Edwards, Zanaya Henderson, Nathan Tinsley, and London Tinsley; thirteen Grandchildren; his Siblings, Lisa (Cedric) Williams of Minneapolis, Larry Tinsley, Lynette (Seydou) Loh, Lonnie Tinsley, and La'Rain Tinsley of Wisconsin; and many other friends and family members.
He is preceded by his father, his grandparents, and two grandchildren.
Leonard was always the life of the party. He loved to eat, go fishing, dogs, the Chicago Bears, football, playing cards and dominos, and was of the Pentecostal faith. He especially loved spending time with his family, and always made sure to end his phone conversations to them with "I love you".
A service will be held for Leonard on Friday at 11:00 AM at Faith Tabernacle Church, with a visitation one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Peoria.
