Kenneth L. Dotson

Born Aug. 29, 1946 in Sewanee, TN to Rufus K. and Mildred J. (King) Dotson. He married Sharon L. Dennison in Jamaica on Feb. 27, 1996. She survives.

Also surviving are his son, Jacob Taylor; 8 grandchildren; brother, Ronald K. Dotson; and sister, Linda (Roger) Wells.

He was preceded in death by his parents and nephew, Shawn Dotson.

Ken graduated from Woodruff High School. He worked as a sheet metal worker for Local #1 in Peoria for 37 years before retiring. He was a United States Army Veteran and was a member of the Elks, Navy Marine Club, and the Church of St. Andrew the Apostle in Peoria. He was very proud of the home he and his wife purchased in Palmetto, FL and spending last winter there. He was an avid golfer and loved all sports.

Funeral Mass will be at 12 Noon Saturday, Aug. 21, 2010 at the Church of St. Andrew the Apostle in Peoria with Fr. Shawn Doubet officiating. Visitation will be at the church Saturday from 10 am until service time. Burial will be at Eastern Star Cemetery in Sewanee, TN. Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to his church.
